Update: March 22 — To the dismay of the #KeepItOn coalition and the international community, authorities in the Republic of the Congo shutdown the internet on the eve of the presidential election.

On February 24, three days after the people of Niger headed to the polls to vote for their next president, authorities shut down the internet.

On the eve of the 2021 presidential election in Uganda, the government ordered a complete internet shutdown. Voters headed out to the polls with no methods of online communication or tools to access information about the election process or outcome.
