Zack Lee

Grants Program Officer

Zack studied international relations to work on development issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Accidentally landing in the higher education sector, he specialized in educational development, learner-centered design, and teaching and learning with technology. With a keen interest in the intersection of individual participation, new forms of expression, and technology, Zack studied urban development, focusing on how policymakers learn and adapt new ideas in their context. He has since worked in government procurement compliance, policy movements, and rural livelihood vulnerabilities. In his most recent roles, Zack has worked with Innovation for Change (I4C) East Asia on efforts to defend and strengthen civic space and with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs Voice program through Hivos and Oxfam Novib to support marginalized communities to demand more inclusive and rights-respecting societies. He has experience both as a grantmaker and as a grantee.
