Rian Wanstreet

Grants Program Manager

Rian (Email: [email protected], PGP Key: 0x24F54E04) works to ensure that at-risk actors and organizations working on digital rights have the resources they need to advance their missions and the rights of the communities they serve. Rian has previously served as Access Now’s Special Projects Manager, which supported the continued growth and sustainability of the organization, and as the RightsCon Summit Series Coordinator. Rian came to Access Now with more than ten years of experience working with nonprofit, academic, and political institutions, and served in both Americorps and the Peace Corps. She was a European Commission Erasmus Mundus Scholar from 2009-2011, and received an MA in Public Administration from the University of York (UK) and an MA in Public Policy with a specialization in Media, Information and Communication Policy from Central European University. She is currently a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Center for Data and Media Studies.
