Abir is the Chief Information Officer at Human Rights Watch, where she leads the Information Security, IT Operations, and Enterprise Architecture teams. She is responsible for shaping HRW’s global technology strategy, strengthening digital resilience, and driving secure, connected systems that enable the organization’s human rights mission. Abir also leads HRW’s digital enablement and modernization agenda, aligning technology, data, and business solutions. She holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and an MA in Communication and Digital Strategies.
