Where you can find Access Now at CPDP 2018

Several members of the Access Now staff will be participating in the 11th international Computers, Privacy & Data Protection (CPDP) conference in Brussels, Belgium, which takes place 24-26 January 2018. We look forward to connecting with you!

Every year, CPDP brings together stakeholders from all over the world. International and national policy makers, regulators, academics, computer scientists, legal practitioners, industry representatives, activists, consultants, and tech journalists convene at Les Halles Scharbeek. Participants leave their laptops behind to exchange ideas, discuss, and debate emerging issues and trends in data protection, privacy, information technology, and the law.

As in previous years, Access Now will be an active contributor! We will be there to discuss everything from the privacy issues hiding in Lava lamps (and other Internet of Things devices), to the implications of broad surveillance mandates, the changing environment for Artificial Intelligence, the relationship between civil society and data protection authorities, and our insights on the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how it will be applied.

Our staff will be there debating, moderating, and co-organizing various panels together with other associations, organizations, and participants… we invite you to follow us on Twitter for the latest updates!

Here’s a guide to where you can find us at — and around — CPDP:
