Ben Whelan

Global Risk and Operations Manager

Ben works as Global Risk and Operations Manager for Access Now, which involves opening and supporting our global offices, organization growth, supporting staff, and sending many emails. Ben has worked internationally in both the private and public sector, and being British, this includes working for the UK's Ministry of Justice, London Probation and its Prolific Offender Unit, and at the British Embassy in Costa Rica. He has worked at the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative, New York University and at WITNESS. Ben holds a BA in Economics and Politics from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Masters in International Relations from the University of Leiden.
