Matthew Murphy

Matt works closely with the Executive Director to provide the necessary support to further his and Access Now's goals in defending and extending digital rights around the world. With the support of the Ops team, Matt manages correspondence, drafts internal and external documents, and provides day-to-day support. Before Access Now, Matt was Special Assistant to the Executive Director of Independent Diplomat, a diplomatic advisory group that worked with governments and political groups, and worked on delivering policy on Western Sahara. Matt has also worked at the Clinton Foundation, British Consulate in NY, and the EastWest Institute.
