Edward Herbert is the Digital Engagement Coordinator for Access Now’s Advocacy Team. Based in London, he is responsible for running the social media accounts, helping the team identify advocacy opportunities, and providing insights into online analytics and impact. He was previously recruited by Human Rights Watch as the Digital Advocate to help found and develop the organisation’s Campaigns team. Here he was responsible for leading successful multi-channel campaigns that lobbied governments and policy figures to advance human rights globally. Prior to this Edward worked at Amnesty International Headquarters as the lead Digital Campaigner, and at the BBC as the Online Coordinator. He holds an M.A. in Science Journalism and a B.A. in Microbiology and Pathology at Bristol University.
