We asked, and you responded! Almost 15,000 of you from around the world told Access where you want us to go in 2012 and what is important to you.
A resounding 93% told us that access to the internet is a human right. This near-unequivocal message demonstrates how important 2012 will be to protecting a free and open internet, and how we have to continue our fight to enshrine this ideal around the world. Also, a huge portion of you said that the number-one threat facing the internet today is online censorship, followed closely by intrusions into privacy and data, and then online surveillance and monitoring.
